Ajax High School was the host for the last 2 FIA Competitions for 2008. On December 16, 2008 the Grades 4-6 teams from surrounding elementary schools competed and on December 17, 2008 the Grade 7-8 teams from the same schools competed.

   The Grade 4-6 competition ended with huge scores as first place went to Bolton C. Falby with a combined girls' and boys' team score of 884 points. Coming in a close second place was the team from Pringle Creek with a combined score of 876 points. Lakeside’s team scored 866 points to come third and Carruthers Creek scored 842 points placing them fourth in the competition.

   The next day called for the senior students of the schools to compete just as hard. Bolton C. Falby’s grade 7 and 8’s were able to follow in the results of their junior grades with a first place score of 784 points. Following Falby was Carruthers Creek with a score of 760 points to take second place. Lakeside finished with 746 points to grab third place and Pringle Creek came fourth with 740 points. The top three finishing teams in the grade 7-8 competition advanced to the Durham Region Finals taking place at Ajax High on February 19, 2009.
