IFTA held it's first SportsHall Competition of the 2008-2009 school year on March 31, 2009 at L'Amoreaux C.I. The event invited secondary schools from the Scarborough, Durham and Brandford areas who have all hosted FIA competitons for elementary schools this year. The competitors all had a blast as they battled for top finishings. The top three schools were Ajax High school with 652 points followed by Lester B. Pearson with 622 points and  Anderson CVI with 594 point. Following Anderson was the host school L'Amoreaux CI with 588 points and fifth and sixth place went to Victoria Park CI and Sir John A. Macdonald with 574 points and 568 points respectively.
